2022 -2017 Executive Board 

 

Tyler Fair is a Senior studying Neuroscience, with a minor in Spanish, and Public Health. In the past, he has served as Community Building director and GROW Coordinator, and this year will be serving as one of the Co-Presidents, who will lead the chapter using his prior experience to help integrate the work we do into our community and partnerships. If Tyler were a kitchen utensil, he would be the egg holder in the fridge because, “it’s like giving bunch of eggs hugs all at the same time.”

 

 

Salome Phillip is a Junior studying Chemical and Biological Engineering. This year, she will be serving as one of the Co-Presidents, who will help lead the chapter towards our goals and cultivate long lasting partnerships in community and more distant contacts. If she were a kitchen utensil, she would be PAM spray because she is good at making everything a non-sticky solution.

 

 

Katie Gannon is a Senior studying Geography, Public   Health,and Pre-Nursing. This year she is serving as the GROW Coordinator, who will design a curriculum to choose interns that will travel to Nepal, and she will be leading the interns this summer to work with our partner organization, Himalayan Healthcare. If Katie were a kitchen utensil, she would be a brightly colored plastic spatula, because it is randomly very useful for a lot of things but it is not something that most people think about. She is good at spreading the love   around! Also she loves to bake and uses them all the time.

 

Wil Hubbard is a Senior studying Integrative Physiology and Public Health. This year, he will be serving as the Marketing director, who will design publications and utilize social media and design to spread the word about the GlobeMed, as well as their mission and goals to the people in our community and on. If Wil were a kitchen utensil, he would be an airtight jar because he is good at keeping secrets, and is literally always full of coffee.

 

Valerie Gao is a Junior studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. This year she will be serving as one of the ghU Coordinators, who will lead the chapter in discussion regarding social and health equity issues on a local and global scale. If Valerie were a kitchen utensil, she would be a kitchen timer, so the cookies would never get burned.

 

 

Joshua Mak is a Junior, studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Economics. This year, he will be serving as our second ghU Coordinator, who will also lead the chapter in discussion regarding social and health equity issues on a local and global scale. If Josh were a kitchen utensil, he would be a Wok because you can throw in a bunch of random ingredients and it will end up tasting okay, most of the time…

 

Nitin Beri is a Sophomore studying Neuroscience. This year he will be serving as one of the Campaign Coordinators, who will organize events in the community with the goal of developing long term connections based on our mission as GlobeMedders with local businesses and individuals, as well as to raise money for our partners in Nepal. If Nitin were a kitchen utensil, he would be a spatula because he loves to turn things over and see matters from a different perspective.

 

 

Kelsie Kracht is a Junior, studying Integrative Physiology and Public Health. This year, she will serve as one of  the Campaign Coordinators, who will organize events in the community with the goal of developing long term connections based on our mission as GlobeMedders with local businesses and individuals, as well as to raise money for our partners in Nepal. If Kelsie were a kitchen utensil, she would be a pot holder because you can’t touch this.

 

 

Veronika Hanna is a Junior studying Integrative Physiology. This year, she will be serving as one of the Campaign Coordinators, who will organize events in the community with the goal of developing long term connections based on our mission as GlobeMedders with local businesses and individuals, as well as to raise money for our partners in Nepal. If Veronika were a kitchen utensil, she would be a spork!

 

Desitine Bustamante-LeRoux is a Sophomore, studying Psychology, Neurology, and Public Health. This year, she will be serving as the Community Building Coordinator, who will work to bring a sense of community within the chapter, organization, and the local community through volunteer work and events to bring people together. She found the organization and the members to be so inclusive and passionate about bringing awareness and change to the health inequities around the world that she is continuously inspired to do more.

 

Nina Perez is a Senior, studying Accounting and Finance. This year, she will be serving as the Finance Director, who will work to integrate ethical financial procedures into our non-profit organization, while tracking transactions and translating them into information that can be translated within and outside the organization, and making the most of the funds that we raise for our partner. If Nina were a kitchen utensil, she would be a whisk.

Freshmen: Agricultural Sciences

Giri loves running and jumping in the foothills of Colorado as well as the Himalayas of Nepal. His favorite food is soft grass, but he also loves ice cream. He just started with GlobeMed so he is looking forward to opportunities ahead of him and the fun he knows he will have this year!
